This April & May we’ll be staying active on the freestyle circuit with training opportunities for our Maverick wrestlers. Freestyle is a great way for athletes to build mat awareness, explosiveness, and skills that transfer directly to folkstyle. It’s also a big difference maker for wrestlers looking to take the next step in their development.
Sessions will be led by Coach Maolu, with freestyle and Greco technique incorporated, and special guest technicians joining throughout the spring with decorated freestyle and Greco backgrounds.

Training will also continue for wrestlers planning to compete at Freestyle Nationals following Northern Plains, with additional information being sent directly to those athletes.
